Executive Committee Meeting in Brussels

On 26–27 November 2025, the Equality in Energy Transitions Initiative (Equality Initiative) convened its Executive Committee in Brussels for two engaging and productive days of strategic discussions, collaboration, and knowledge exchange.

The meeting brought together Executive Committee members, community representatives, and observers, both in person and online, to review progress, discuss priorities, and shape the next phase of the Equality Initiative’s work. The sessions provided an important opportunity to strengthen connections across the network and align on shared objectives for the future.

A particular highlight was the opportunity to engage with the European Commission’s Equality Platform for the Energy Sector through a series of joint sessions and networking activities. These exchanges fostered valuable dialogue on advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion across the energy sector while strengthening collaboration between organizations committed to driving meaningful change.

The programme also featured an interactive workshop led by the Equal by 30 campaign, during which the Florence School of Regulation was welcomed as a new signatory. In addition, Executive Committee members and partners participated in a data-focused workshop delivered by the International Energy Agency (IEA), exploring the role of data and evidence in supporting informed decision-making and measuring progress across the sector.

The Equality Initiative extends its sincere appreciation to the European Commission for its hospitality and support in hosting these discussions.

The meeting underscored the value of partnership, knowledge sharing, and collective action in advancing common goals across the energy transition.
