Why advancing Women in Energy is so important

The energy sector has faced several transformations over the years but today, it is challenged to make a transition to cleaner energies to stop climate change and to give hope to humanity. This transition, which is not only a shift in technology but has to be fair and inclusive, leaving no one behind, requires a united effort and looking at the problem from a broader angle. The advancement of women in energy is so important to improve collaboration, integration, and innovation – key capacities this sector needs and that women are recognized to possess naturally. We start from feminine energy, constantly step out of our comfort zone, bring in new answers and perspectives, and question how we can be agents of change for a more sustainable world. Increasing the participation of women with open minds, open hearts and genuine listening in the sector will promote more inclusive actions and help us achieve sustainable development and respect for human rights.
