Why advancing Women in Energy is so important

The energy sector has made remarkable progress in the last years in the incorporation of woman, however is still in debt. Closing this gap is more vital now than ever as allowing for integration of diverse gender, ways of thinking, and experiences are key to face the world´s challenges towards a clean energy transition, the decarbonization process and the economic impacts that the Coronavirus pandemic will have worldwide.  We will need innovative, ingenious, creative and inclusive solutions to face these new challenges and this means acting now to have a greater participation from a diverse and effective talent pool.  We must create suitable environments for women that are at home taking care of their beloved ones and for engaging new talent. Let’s learn from the pandemic: there are flexible ways of work that can promote and boost the participation of women in the energy sector.”
