Why advancing Women in Energy is so important

Equality is key to the energy transition. It will only succeed if everyone is included: rich and poor, young and old, men and women, tech-savvy and curious, and those not yet engaged. In my role at the regulatory authority, I focus on customer orientation, social inclusion, and support for vulnerable groups. We must activate passive customers and offer guidance to those in need. Equality also matters in corporate culture, from non-discrimination and work-life balance to valuing empathy, communication, and cooperation. These are skills many women bring alongside strong qualifications in tech, law, business, and more. The energy sector remains male-dominated, but shaping both the energy transition and inclusive leadership is a powerful motivation for me.
