This event aims to explore why gender equality needs to be a central component of global environmental action and to the ambitions of a better post-COVID world. It will spotlight the opportunities and limitations of our current just transition models, and further highlight how gender transformative approaches helps in fulfilling our commitment to combating the three planetary crises.
The event will focus on:
- How would a feminist plan for a just and Green recovery look like?
- How can women effectively contribute to climate action? Perspectives from the global south
- How can gender equality be an enabling factor toward a sustainable and just society?
- How to accelerate a gender-just transition?
