From insight to influence: building tomorrow’s energy leaders today
The Department of Electricity and Energy (DEE), in partnership with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), has developed a C-Suite Women’s Empowerment Programme to close South Africa’s female leadership gap in the energy sector.
The programme will be implemented by African Women in Energy and Power (AWEaP).
Anchored in the country’s Just Energy Transition, the programme equips participants with executive-level skills, mentorship, and international exposure to influence transformation at the highest levels.
Following the official announcement by Minister of Electricity and Energy, Dr Kgosientsho Ramakgopa, at the Department’s Women in Energy Event in August 2025, we invite you to attend the Kick-Off Webinar to gain more information on the programme.
